About Me
Nobody investigates a number that's going up.
That's how an API quietly generated duplicate records in our marketing database for months. Our mailable audience grew beautifully — right up until it blew past our account limit and tripped an alarm. I got handed the question. The integration wasn't matching on email address, and the duplicates turned out to be the the start of a long journey, I'm a marketing operations and CRM analyst, which mostly means I'm the person who finds out why the number is wrong. A broken data point hates to see me coming. Over the past decade I've owned Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (MCAE/Pardot) environments, lead pipeline architecture, segmentation and suppression logic, and email deliverability. My favorite work sits at the seam between systems — where the CRM says one thing, the marketing platform says another, and someone has to determine which is lying. A few things I've done:
- Took ownership of a broken lead pipeline, traced the failure across four source systems, and found 99.6% of incoming prospect records missing a single field that blocked qualification entirely. Fixed it. Inside sales got real leads again.
- Ran an IP warming program under conditions no deliverability guide would endorse: no subject matter expert, live campaigns throughout, untested creative, and a week lost when the from-address we'd been handed turned out to be one we weren't cleared to use. Gmail flagged us anyway. I now know exactly which of those was fatal, and how to refuse it next time.
- Reconciled how our lead process was documented to work against how the automations actually behaved, then built the flow chart that made the gap legible. It became the reference we used with leadership and sales.
- Built roughly 50 reports to test whether my own diagnosis held up, on the principle that a theory you can't test is just a strong opinion.
What I'm after: a CRM, marketing operations, or marketing systems analyst role, fully remote, owning the unglamorous infrastructure everything else depends on. Bonus points if your data is a mess. I like a mess.
Outside of work, I run a small shop selling Geegaws, Trinkets, Tchotchkes, and historic embroidery and beading patterns — you can find it on Etsy.
